BIC Electric has just come back from West Africa, where we joined the Danish state visit to Ghana together with Her Majesty the Queen of Denmark, ministers and a representation of 39 Danish companies. Afterwards, we continued to Abuja in Nigeria for a Trade Mission focused on the food and agriculture industry.
The visit was very inspiring and an eye-opener to West Africa that is no longer just a developing market. Several Danish luxury brands presented their success stories on the West African market, and local entrepreneurs, like a new producer of African dairy products cross-breeding European and African cattle breeds, underlined the potential of local entrepreneurship. Although it is still a difficult market, the visit underlined the potential of West Africa especially in the infrastructure and food processing industry.
BIC Electric is already present in other regions of Africa including South Africa, were we worked with Lödige Industries installing car production lines. In North Africa we recently assisted Cimbria commissioning a major order of 23 grain silo projects in the Nile Delta of Egypt, and we worked with System Teknik installing a production line for wind mills in Morocco.
After the trip to West Africa, we are looking forward to assisting our customers in delivering their orders to this region as well.
