BIC at “Business Safari” in Kenya

BIC Electric recently participated in a Market Visit to Kenya, supported by the Trade Council of Denmark in Sub-Saharan Africa under the Danish Foreign Ministry.  A tight scheduled trip which took our CEO Jens-Christian Møller and CFO Lucja Kalkstein to both the bustling capital Nairobi and to Mombasa on the eastern coast of Kenya.

With a great market insight and a rich local network, The Trade Council assisted in setting up a tight Business get-together and networking program for BIC to meet Kenyan business associations, authorities as well as various Kenyan and Danish companies within the industries Food Tech and Automation.  All being industries BIC Electric as an international technical service-provider with 15 years of experience in electrical and mechanical assembly, installation and commissioning has great expertise within.

Denmark have over the last 50 years, been an active player in contributing to a sustainable growth and change in Kenya. With a clear vision that doing good and doing business goes hand in hand resulting in a mutual beneficial partnership between the two countries.

Although Kenya still today is tackling high poverty it is also is a market with a great growth-potential for Danish companies.  As the growing middle class has begun to demand higher food quality and high-quality products in general, the Danish technical and sustainable solutions are, according to The Trade Council under the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, especially needed in the Kenyan food industry. Hence Kenya is one of the “new” markets BIC Electric is focusing on.

Earlier this year BIC opened a representation in Accra, Ghana and entering Kenya is part of our long-term strategy for African markets, where we aim to offer our scalable, cost-competitive and high-quality solutions.
